Celina proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Van Alstyne Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.
Celina wouldn't go down easily and took Van Alstyne into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-12, 23-25, 25-22, 16-14.
Charlotte Sinclair paced Celina's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sinclair got some help from Alex Farrow and her 32 assists. Britton Huff controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Celina's victory bumped their record up to 15-23. As for Van Alstyne, their loss dropped their record down to 24-12.
