Last Monday, Cumberland Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-32 to Central Dauphin. Cumberland Valley has struggled against Central Dauphin recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sienna Manns, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Warren, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cumberland Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They are 1-3 when they can't control their own glass like that.
Meanwhile, Carlisle had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Waynesboro by a score of 52-43 on Tuesday.
Cumberland Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Carlisle, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
Cumberland Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Carlisle in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.
