After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Bishop Montgomery, the La Salle Lancers were happy to have found some success  on Thursday. They came out on top against St. Mary's Academy by a score of  54-41. For La Salle, this counts as revenge for the   47-44 loss St. Mary's Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in January.
 Leading La Salle to victory were  Casey Higgins and  Audrey Chen.  Higgins  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and ten  rebounds, while  Chen  scored 14 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Cortes, who  scored nine points.
 St. Mary's Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ebbony Wilson, who  scored 13 points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Layia King, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and ten  rebounds.
 La Salle's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 22-5. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 53.0 points per game. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
 La Salle will be playing at home against Ramona Convent at 4:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Ramona Convent will roll in looking for their  18th straight  win, something La Salle surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Rancho Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. One thing working in Rancho Christian's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last six contests.
