Davis Sr. and Rocklin are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will face off against the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Davis Sr. is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Davis Sr. proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Granite Bay 7-5. The game was the first time the Blue Devils have beaten the Grizzlies on their field since May 18, 2017.

Dylan Beamish looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, Davis Sr. saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Kieffer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Kieffer has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rocklin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over Folsom on Tuesday. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Blake Andre looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Dylan Nusz was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Tyler Ward also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Rocklin pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Davis Sr., their record is now 16-6-1.
Davis Sr. came up short against Rocklin when the teams last played back in May of 2023, falling 5-2. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
