The Campbell Hall Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 83-62 loss at the hands of Notre Dame (SO). While losing is never fun, Campbell Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while Notre Dame (SO) is ranked 93rd).
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Smith, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cristina Sepulveda, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Campbell Hall bumped their record down to 6-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Notre Dame (SO), their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Campbell Hall will head out on the road to square off against Crossroads at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notre Dame (SO), they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alemany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alemany is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
