The Cumberland Valley Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They snuck past Chambersburg with a 30-25 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cumberland Valley also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Cumberland Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sanai Hill, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Payton Basehore, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Cumberland Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Chambersburg, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Cumberland Valley will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Harrisburg is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Chambersburg, they will head out on the road to take on the Mountain Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Altoona presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Trojans in Pennsylvania (the Mountain Lions are ranked 52nd, while the Trojans are ranked 391st).
