DuBois Central Catholic suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Redbank Valley by a score of 47-44.
Meanwhile, Brockway came up short against Kane on Friday and fell 41-30.
Despite the defeat, Brockway saw an underclassman step up: Sophia Schmader dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Schmader hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
DuBois Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Brockway, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for DuBois Central Catholic against Brockway in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 60-30 victory. Will DuBois Central Catholic repeat their success, or does Brockway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
