The Mira Mesa Marauders entered their tilt with the Point Loma Pointers with seven consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with eight. Mira Mesa came out on top against the Pointers by a score of  51-40  on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mira Mesa also won the last time the pair played  back in January.
  Ivorii Seals was  her usual excellent self,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and nine  rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Mira Mesa's points.  Savannah Hall was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Point Loma's loss  came despite strong showings from  Kylie Wade and  Rachael Morris.  Wade  scored 19 points along with four  steals, while  Morris  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and 15  rebounds. Morris has been hot recently, having posted eight or more  rebounds the last 16 times she's  played.
 Mira Mesa is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Point Loma, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 14-9.
 Mira Mesa's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Centurions at 6:00  p.m.  on February 2nd. Hopefully University City focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. As for Point Loma, they won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on January 31st.
