Basketball Recap: Carson Skates Past South Gate with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Carson over South Gate in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Colts blew the Rams out of the water with an 84-9 final score. With the Colts ahead 53-3 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Isra Neal had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a triple-double with 24 points, 13 boards, and nine steals. Those nine steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayverie Popoalii, who went 8-for-12 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Carson, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Carson and South Gate will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Colts see the court they'll take on Legacy at 4:30 p.m. on December 1. As for South Gate, their break will end when they face Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on December 1.
