Lower Lake had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down the Point Arena Pirates 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Point Arena's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayde Swan, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Sierra Harbuck, who had eight points.

Lower Lake pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Point Arena, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Lower Lake has already played their next contest, a 34-28 loss against Upper Lake on the 14th. As for Point Arena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mendocino at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
