Two dominant guards in Karsyn Miner and Larissa Evans are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Northwest Area Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Millville Quakers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Northwest Area strolled past Sullivan County with points to spare, taking the game 31-12.
Meanwhile, Millville took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 47-16 victory over Sullivan County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Millville.
It was another big night for Evans, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Evans is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Julia Hippenstiel was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Northwest Area's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Millville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
Northwest Area was able to grind out a solid win over Millville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 49-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
