It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Heritage Patriots had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 79-32 at home. Heritage has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.
Sierra Maxwell was her usual excellent self, scoring 43 points along with 16 steals and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for 18 straight games. Mariah Logan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 18-11. As for Twentynine Palms, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.
Heritage will take on Oakwood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oakwood will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Heritage surely won't give up without a fight. Twentynine Palms does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
