Kell dropped down to 6-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 10-5 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.
As for Cherokee Bluff, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
