The Woodside Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodside's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Woodside has not lost a match since January 19th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. Neither they nor South San Francisco could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Collin Barton hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.
Woodside's goal came courtesy of
Justin Galvez, who's now up to 33 this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Hillsdale were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 3-1 to South San Francisco.
With that draw, Woodside's record moves to 10-6-3. As for Hillsdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
Woodside beat Hillsdale by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodside since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
