Justin Galvez has been named player of the year. "This season, it became evident, quite early, that we would have a scoring leader. He and his teammates generated a flurry of goals early in the season, drawing attention to him, but it was irrelevant. This player went on to generate an Bay Area News Group nomination for Player of the Week and WON with about 15,000 votes! He went on through the rest of the season accumulating 33 goals and 2 assists, eight of them game-winners. Our lead scorer clearly captured a spot on the All League First Team. His leadership as a Captain was a pleasure to have this past season. And, it doesn't stop there, the board of coaches from each Division also select Attacking, Midfield, Defensive and Goalkeepers of the Year. And perhaps, as no surprise, Justin Galvez was selected as All League Co-Attacker of the Year for the Ocean Division. Please join me in congratulating Justin Galvez as Woodside's Player of the Year of 23-24."
