Byron came out on top against Highland on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Tigers walked away with a 9-4 win over the Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Byron's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Byron has already played their next matchup, a 13-1 loss against Moline on the 28th. As for Highland, they will face off against Breese Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
