The Borrego Springs Rams had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Calexico Mission on the road to the tune of 51-9. Borrego Springs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Abigail Gonzalez had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joanna Johns, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Borrego Springs' victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10. As for Calexico Mission, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Warner the next time they take the court. Borrego Springs will host Warner at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Calexico Mission will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
