The Arcata Tigers are taking a road trip to  square off against the McKinleyville Panthers  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
Arcata is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of California's top teams: South Fork, who was ranked 15th  at the time (Arcata was ranked fifth). The Tigers walked away with  a   4-2  win over the Cubs  on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what Arcata needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
Meanwhile, McKinleyville has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 20. They and South Fork finished up on equal footing with  a  1-1 draw on Thursday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for McKinleyville as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.
Their goal came courtesy  of  Abigail Pimentel, who's now up to seven this season.
 Arcata picked up their first road  win, bumping their record up to 4-2. McKinleyville's  draw gives them a new season record of 3-8-4.
 Arcata came out on top in a nail-biter against McKinleyville in their previous matchup  back in September, sneaking past  2-1.
