It was a good run, but the Eastlake Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Mira Mesa by a score of 49-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Eastlake has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Eastlake still got an impressive performance from Mia Jones, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Helen Rosales, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mira Mesa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Eastlake will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 10:30 a.m. on January 20th. Mira Mesa won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lincoln at 6:15 p.m. on January 16th. Lincoln is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
