Megan Wicker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, St. Scholastica made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pine on Monday. The Doves blew past the Raiders 20-3. The game was the first time the Doves have beaten the Raiders on their field since March 1, 2016.
Like Covington, St. Scholastica also got a great game from a two-way player: Karsen Boyet. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Boyet was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
