The Corcoran Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 77-16 win over Wonderful College Prep Academy. Corcoran has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Emilee Santos, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katalina Castillo, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
The victory was the ninth in a row for Corcoran, bringing their record for this year to 15-8. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.3 points. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
Corcoran will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. Corcoran is facing Granite Hills at the right time seeing as Granite Hills is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wonderful College Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
