The St. Paul Swordsmen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by South Pasadena on the road and fell 86-51. St. Paul was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-25.
South Pasadena was led to victory by Kayla Boozer and Dylan Tse. Boozer dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Tse scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Boozer hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Madeline Park, who scored two points along with two steals.
St. Paul has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for South Pasadena, they pushed their record up to 24-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Pasadena also has no future games currently scheduled.
