The Perkiomen Valley Vikings stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Norristown 75-26 at home. Winning may never get old, but Perkiomen Valley sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Perkiomen Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Galbavy out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Galbavy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Miley, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Perkiomen Valley pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.5 points. As for Norristown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perkiomen Valley will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pottsgrove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Vikings are ranked 16th). As for Norristown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Methacton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
