The Mayfair Monsoons will face off against the Paramount Pirates at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Mayfair is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Lynwood get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Saturday. With that win, the Monsoons brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Ryan Corros looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Mayfair got a massive performance out of Damien Andrade, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave Andrade a new career-high. Zion Verduzco was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one double.
Mayfair hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Paramount hadn't done well against Cerritos recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Pirates won by a run and slipped past the Dons 6-5.
Luis Banuelos was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Trujillo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Mayfair's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Paramount, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Mayfair was able to grind out a solid victory over Paramount in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 6-1. Do the Monsoons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
