The Superior Wildcats typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Milford Eagles proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back wins for Milford.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Halle Bargen, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Bargen scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Sadie Cornell, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Milford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Superior, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
Milford will head out on the road to challenge the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Superior, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redmen on Monday.
