Canon City hasn't had much luck against Widefield recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Gladiators at 9:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Canon City sitting on four straight wins and Widefield on six.
Canon City is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Palmer on Thursday as they made off with a 24-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Khloe Weise was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Weise was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Widefield beat Coronado 7-4 on Thursday.
Olivia McEwen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
