North Central came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lawrence Central Bears by a score of 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sam Dutkanych looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Rykin Matthias was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cy Street, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

North Central's record now sits at 16-6. As for Lawrence Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Central beat the Bears by a score of 8-2 on Wednesday.
