The Indian Springs COYOTES came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past San Bernardino with a 43-38 victory. This was payback for Indian Springs, who suffered a 33-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, San Bernardino saw an underclassman step up: Laniah Porter scored 11 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. Jasmine Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Indian Springs pushed their record up to 17-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for San Bernardino, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.
Indian Springs will take on Rim of the World at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Rim of the World has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4. As for San Bernardino, they will head out on the road to take on Jurupa Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
