The Orange Lions will be playing at home against the North Rangers at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Orange has three straight wins, the Rangers have five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Orange has not done well against the Hawks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Orange walked away with a 39-31 victory over the Hawks.
Orange relied on the efforts of Kynnade Bates, who scored 12 points, and Rachel Oberster, who scored 17 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Oberster has scored at least a third of Orange's points.
While North couldn't quite beat the Rebels on Saturday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 32-point loss they were dealt on Wednesday. North fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 38-35.
Orange has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for North, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Orange was taken down by the Rangers 68-37 when the teams last played back in November of 2019. Thankfully for Orange, Avril Drew (who scored 23 points along with five assists and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
