Kennedy has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lake View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Crusaders will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennedy has four straight wins, Lake View has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Kennedy's victory against Chicago Washington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders skirted past the Patriots 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Crusaders have posted since April 1st.

Christian Estrada

Christian Estrada was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kennedy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise. Estrada was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Isaac Quintanilla looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). He has become a key player for Kennedy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Exequiel Vargas was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycob Solorio, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lake View challenged Lincoln Park on Wednesday. The Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly four runs.
The victory got Kennedy back to even at 8-8. As for Lake View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Kennedy came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake View in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
