Football Recap: Hillgrove Piles Up the Points Against Mcintosh

A well-balanced attack led Hillgrove over McIntosh in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hawks blew the Chiefs out of the water with a 35-0 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hawks had established a 28-point advantage.

Hillgrove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiden Moore led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Moore has posted since back in October of 2024. Sidney Montgomery was in the mix as well, providing Hillgrove with two scores.

Hillgrove has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points this season. As for McIntosh, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Hillgrove has already played their next matchup, a 34-6 win against Marietta on the 5th. As for McIntosh, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morrow at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. This will be the Chiefs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
