There's no place like home for Johnston, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Their defense stepped up to hand the Des Moines East Scarlets a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Johnston have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-5. As for Des Moines East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-6-1 record this season.

Johnston will challenge Northwest on Thursday. As for Des Moines East, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Woodward-Granger on the 27th.
