After a string of three wins, the Orange Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of North. If Orange was looking for revenge after losing 68-37 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Cantrell, who scored eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Welty, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Orange's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for North, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
Orange has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Mayhem at 4:30 p.m. on February 7th. Fuchs Mizrachi is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for North, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
