St. Augustine is 0-10 against Matanzas since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. St. Augustine will square off against Matanzas at 6:00 p.m. St. Augustine has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
St. Augustine is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 17th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orange Park. One positive for the Yellow Jackets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Gus Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Julia Hansen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Even though they lost, St. Augustine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Matanzas sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Flagler Palm Coast on Tuesday. The two-run effort marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
LEAH STEVENS looked comfortable as she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Matanzas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ASHLEY SAMPSELLE, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Matanzas pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
St. Augustine might still be hurting after the 17-0 loss they got from Matanzas when the teams last played back in March. Can St. Augustine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
