The Monessen Greyhounds waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Bethlehem Center by a score of 37-27. That's another feather in the cap for Monessen, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monessen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Na'Jaziah Carter, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Avanti Stitch, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six blocks.
Monessen's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Bethlehem Center, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Monessen will head out on the road to square off against Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem Center, they will be playing at home against Chartiers-Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Chartiers-Houston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Thursday.
