St. Michael came into Friday's contest looking for another win against St. Pius X, but Jerrel Moore wouldn't allow it. The Panthers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 31-23 on Friday for which the team can thank Moore, who picked up 200 receiving yards and three scores. St. Pius X is undefeated when Moore posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

St. Michael's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nico Anderson, who threw for 276 yards and three TDs, and Ian Quinn, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

St. Pius X's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for St. Michael's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

St. Pius X will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Antonian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Apaches have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games. As for St. Michael's, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-23 loss against Central Catholic on the 17th.
