The Galt Warriors can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They really took it to Bradshaw Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-18 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for Galt, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Galt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Akayla-Joy Gunter led the charge by scoring 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bricelina Cortez, who scored 11 points.
Galt's win bumped their record up to 2-15. As for Bradshaw Christian, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13.
Galt will play host again and welcome El Dorado, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradshaw Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Liberty Ranch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bradshaw Christian in California (Liberty Ranch is ranked 263rd, while Bradshaw Christian is ranked 1330th).
