Luke Lowery was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Lowery was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Luke Vael looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
