Matt Owen made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Saranac is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-8 otherwise. Owen was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April.
