Onalaska extended their winning streak to 19 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 26-4. They walked away with a 91-84 win over the Trinity Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Tigers are ranked 648th).
Onalaska found their leader in freshman Jaden Wyatt, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Wyatt is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Spencer Green was another key player, putting up 18 points.
Onalaska smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests.
As for Trinity, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11. On the bright side, the 84- point performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayden DeBose, who posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Darryn Bass, who had 20 points.
