Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Kaufer blew Premont out of the water with a 72-27 final score. That 45 points margin sets a new team best for Kaufer this season.
It was another big night for Matthew Mascorro, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cesar Silva, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Kaufer has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record this season. As for Premont, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.
Kaufer will be playing at home against Freer at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Freer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Tuesday. As for Premont, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Santa Maria's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Premont has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road.
