Willow Glen has gone a perfect 7-0 against Oak Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rams will head out to challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Willow Glen will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Willow Glen came out on top against Christopher on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Cougars. Five seems to be a good number for the Rams as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Spencer Bartlinski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Bartlinski was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other pitching news, Tyson Paganini looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Austin Korba was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Oak Grove had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Del Mar by a score of 10-7 on Thursday.
The team relied heavily on Jordan McCoy, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Vierra, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Oak Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Willow Glen pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Grove, their record now sits at 3-17.
Everything went Willow Glen's way against Oak Grove when the teams last played back in February, as Willow Glen made off with a 14-0 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
