If the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats were feeling good off their 49-26 takedown of the Boyertown Bears last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Owen J. Roberts was beaten by Spring-Ford 61-19 on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Owen J. Roberts has scored all season.
Anna Azzara was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Spring-Ford. That makes it six consecutive games in which Azzara has scored at least 25% of Spring-Ford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Tiffan, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Owen J. Roberts now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Spring-Ford, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Owen J. Roberts will be home for the holidays to greet Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Spring-Ford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Phoenixville at 6:45 p.m. on December 21st. Phoenixville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Spring-Ford is ranked 21st).
