Plum has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Franklin Regional Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Franklin Regional took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plum, who comes in off a win.
Plum can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gateway 60-27 at home. Given Plum's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Gateway is ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Franklin Regional, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-38 loss to Penn-Trafford on Friday. Franklin Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Plum's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Franklin Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
Plum skirted past Franklin Regional 38-36 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plum since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
