The Frost Polar Bears are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Penelope Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on November 30th. Frost will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 800th, while Penelope is ranked 279th).
Last Tuesday, Frost came up short against Axtell and fell 40-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Frost in their matchups with Axtell: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Penelope had just enough and edged Blum out 55-52 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Penelope.
It was another big night for Jayden Schwarz, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Corson, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hubbard's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Frost's defeat dropped theirs to 1-3.
Frost strolled past Penelope in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 by a score of 62-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frost since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
