Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jay). They secured a 78-72 W over the Central Jaguars on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on four straight.

Jay was led to victory by Tanner Mandell and Brady Godwin. Mandell dropped a double-double on 20 points and 23 rebounds, while Godwin dropped a double-double on 37 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Godwin has scored at least a third of Jay's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Morris, who posted 14 points.

Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Baxley, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Baxley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Dean, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points.

Jay is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Jay will challenge L.E.A.D. Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for L.E.A.D. Academy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Jay has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. As for Central, they will take on Laurel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
