Reedley took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lemoore, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Reedley had just enough and edged out Lemoore 2-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mason Cisneros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reedley's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Reedley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.

Reedley pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Lemoore, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Reedley will be playing in front of their home fans against Selma at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lemoore, they will head out on the road to square off against Mission Oak at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
