Pacific is 0-10 against Indian Springs since April of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Pirates will square off against the COYOTES at 3:45 p.m. Pacific has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Pacific couldn't beat Big Bear on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Pirates fell 14-10 to the Bears. Even if the Pirates couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Edgar Aguilar made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Cillian Turk also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indian Springs). Everything went their way against Public Safety Academy on Saturday as they made off with a 20-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the COYOTES with their most commanding win of the season.
Jacob Aguilar was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Indian Springs is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Aguilar was even better at the plate, firing off two triples, two stolen bases, and five RBI while going 5-for-5.
In other batting news, Frankie Hernandez was a standout: he got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Alejandro Hermosillo was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.
Indian Springs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Indian Springs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pacific, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pacific has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Indian Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Pacific suffered a grim 15-7 defeat to Indian Springs when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
