The Central Dauphin Rams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against State College by a score of 42-33. Given Central Dauphin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while State College is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central Dauphin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Green, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Green has scored at least 25% of Central Dauphin's points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Fletcher, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Central Dauphin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for State College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Dauphin will be home for the holidays to greet Altoona at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. State College will be home for the holidays to greet Cumberland Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
