The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack entered their tilt with the Davis Sr. Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cosumnes Oaks walked away with a 45-33 victory over Davis Sr. on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cosumnes Oaks also won the last time the pair played on January 8th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cosumnes Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caitlin Subejano, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Subejano hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Isabel Tan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Davis Sr. lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alia Cordone. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Schouten, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Davis Sr. smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cosumnes Oaks only pulled down five offensive rebounds.
Cosumnes Oaks pushed their record up to 14-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Davis Sr., their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cosumnes Oaks will take on St. Francis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Cosumnes Oaks likes a good challenge. As for Davis Sr., they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laguna Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Laguna Creek is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
